It all began with my fascination of gemstones. The energy that warmed the palm of my hand when I held a natural amethyst crystal point healed me. I escaped into worlds unbeknownst to me. When the lights sparkled from the crystal quartz I was able to escape into a world that I always felt I belonged. They comforted me when I did not want to think about my illness, pain or the problems that I was having at home. I felt deserted by my human friends and my human family when I was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Fibromyalgia which left me unable to walk. I could no longer do the same things I used to do. All the phone calls stopped. The visits stopped. I felt so alone, but little did I know that I was far from alone. The crystals became my best friends. They were literally a "rock" that I could lean on.
