Growing up in the city of Nashville, where life was extremely plentiful for some, and completely difficult for others, the Clifton's managed to hold it all together by manifesting amongst themselves. Set in the mid 70's to late 80's, this intense novel is an unsparing reflection of the poverty, bigotry, racial separatism, and the feelings of determination experienced by a family of people, who, from the very beginning, refused to accept anything other than their equal opportunities by pulling themselves from the lowest levels of inner city living until finally reaching the top... or at least a place of comfort for them all. And it would all start with Talent and Potential. The two youngest members of the Clifton clan ... Now the question is... will they actually have what it takes to make it!
